2009: Proposed Extension (Port Charlotte, Isle of Islay)
Achanna Cottage
Port Charlotte, Isle of Islay
Design of a side extension and internal upgrade to an existing Cottage. The brief comprised:
1.Large sitting room with an open fire place
2.New Entrance porch and Entrance hall
3.Large dining Kitchen accessing the back gardens
4.Large master bedroom with an En-Suite
A new section of the property was merged into the existing cottage. Under floor heating was introduced onto the new extension and at the later stage Air Source heat Pump was introduced to allow greener approach to raise the temperature internally. Existing section of the house fully insulated and new heating system was introduced along with full re-wiring the cottage.
